Friends of the BQX Prototype Unveiling
Concept
We were honored to work with the Friends of the BQX to unveil the Brooklyn Queens Connector project, a proposed state-of-the-art streetcar line spanning 14 miles along the Brooklyn and Queens waterfront. Several community leaders, including Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, spoke to the press to outline the $2.5 billion project and showcase the 46-foot-long Citadis 405, which was constructed in and shipped from Nice, France. Supporters were able to board the prototype at street-level and experience what the Connector might look like, and later participated in a panel discussion and enjoyed a cocktail hour to end the night.
