RED BULL BC ONE CYPHER NEW YORK

The Story

IDEKO worked with Red Bull to locate, secure, and permit the outdoor rooftop of the New Designs High School in the Lower East Side over the summer for Red Bull’s first live in-person event since the beginning of Covid-19.  IDEKO scouted multiple venue options to Red Bull, who ultimately chose New Designs for its aesthetic.  While the weather ended up being beautiful, IDEKO designed and estimated several rain cover plans for the open-air space to ensure the event would go on rain or shine.

The World Finals of Red Bull BC One was held in Poland, hosting 24 competitors and 150 spectators. IDEKO provided audio, lighting, staging support, décor, security, brand ambassadors, standby medical personnel, internet connectivity, additional electrical services from lower floors, and venue management. The qualifying cypher was recorded and streamed to Red Bull channels.
