New York Foundation for the Arts | September 11 Memorial Drone Tribute
In a moving tribute to the lives lost on September 11, a commemorative installation illuminated New York Harbor with 2,977 drone lights, one for each life lost, recreating the Twin Towers at full architectural scale 25 years later. Developed in collaboration with members of the 9/11 family, survivor, and first responder communities, the installation created a powerful moment of remembrance, reflection, and unity against the New York City skyline.
IDEKO was honored to support this meaningful tribute alongside Sky Elements Drone Shows and the New York Foundation for the Arts, overseeing federal and city permitting, safety planning, and security operations and working closely with the FAA, U.S. Coast Guard, NYPD, Mayor’s Office of NYC, and city agencies.
